You've Never Noticed Me by nirel You've Never Noticed Me by nirel
I feel so alone... like nobody can hear me or understand me..... wish everything was different

Whaa... I had imagined this idea for so long, but never had a clue of how I should make this kind of photograph. Two weeks ago I looked at many kinds of photomanipulation and one of the styles I really liked was the photographs with many textures becuase It gives a great effect to the basic photo. I tried it on a few pictures and I loved the results. After I understood the way I should use the textures on photos, I used it on this kind of shot.
The organization of the photography set and the costumes was amazing. My friends: Carmit, Lital, Chai, Noam and I did a woderful job and I thank each one of them for doing that and also for being the models here ^_^

Models: Chai (the "dad"), Noam (the "mom") and Lital (the "suffering kid").

Edits: The texture is taken from (he has awesome gallery, check it out).

This photograph is me as a child. You hit it right on in terms of expressing yourself and the way this is posed. Completely on target. It hit me in the gut. Strange how those memories can come back.

A photograph can remaind you of you so many things and emotions, and each one of us can get them differently. It can remaind us so much from the past, future or even something we have dreamed about.
I'm glad it effected you this way, and I was really thrilled while reading your comment :hug:

LOL :giggle:

The concept is that there is a boy that feels emptyness, sadness and lonliness... and when people fell that way they need other people support but the boy's parents don't seem to noticed him and they keep on laughing and talking while their kid is suffering. ^^;

Thank you ^^

The texture does add a lot, and the lighting in the first place is perfect for the scene. I think the flower give a nice feeling of slight hope though :)

Thank you!!!

:wow: I agree with you, the lighting is great and it fits well to the "American dream" concept (the family perfection).

I'm so happy you looked at the flower, I thought the same too. At first making it b/w or darker seemed like a nice option but later on I understood that it is gives a feeling that there still some hope ^^

Oh good - I know just the feeling when someone tells you about some small detail in a piece that you thought nobody would ever notice - it's very... satisfying :) You're very welcome!

the picture is pretty nice, though somthing is not really... right.
the effects are nice, but i think that the box on the girl's head is just too much...

You think that when she holds the box on her head it's not right?

well, I wanted to expess my feeling and my ideas, and I think that when she holds the box on her head it makes you feel that she wants to be noticed, to be different, to be somewhere else... she put the box on her head so you want see her expretion too, mystery effect -> makes everything much interesting.

Thanks anyway

i was wrong using the word "not right" about her holding the box, and i'm sorry.
i saw the box like "i'm in a box, so you never notice me". i guese you saw it in another way.

sorry.

You don't need to be sorry, I just wanted you to understand that the box on her head has an important influence on the photograph...

I have to say that texture-wise, this has been your worst. I mean, you know I'm not trying to insult you, it's just that you've done so much better then this [and you know it.]

My worst? What's wrong with you?
If you look closer you'll understand how much emotion I put into this... the little details I looked at, the objects, their clothes even their expretions...

You might be right, I might do better then this... but what I did got offended is the way you treated this work, so what? I used texture that adds so much for the old and cold feeling... does that means it is not a good work?

anyway... your opinion...

Oh wow, what a unique idea. This is really great. I like how the "mother" and "father" have that generic kind of romantic in bliss kind of look, like they seem so unnoticing to their child. And I like how you gave the feeling that the kid is unnoticed by putting a box over their head.
You have the neatest imagination ever. =) Great job.

:wow: You're damn cute, I love your comment!

Frist, I think it's important that the mother and father smile, it emphasize that they don't seem to noticed what's going on in their child mind and they keep on having a great time ^^;

Thank you, I guess I do have weird imagination... i don't wanna be 18 soon O_o, you think you lose your imagination when you get older?

I'm afraid also of getting older because I think I'm going to loose my imagination too (sometimes I think I am already) But no, your imagination never leaves you when you get older. The only time an adult looses their imagination is when they stop using it and I believe that you'll never stop using yours, so don't have to worry. =)

Your comment made me realize that I my work has improved, becuase I pay attention to the lighting, the background, the objects in the photograph, the clothing, the models postions, their expretions... just everything... it's so weird to think that I really think of every little detail O_O

Thank you so much :hug:
